Haryana schools have updated the age rules for admissions in 2025-26 to align with new education policies and child readiness.
The minimum age for Class 1 admission is now 6 years, following the updated policy set by the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
The updated age criteria ensure consistency with the NEP 2020, promoting a standardized education system across the state.
For 2025-26, students turning 6 by September 30 can still apply for Class 1 under the government's special relaxation rule.
Children must be 3+ for Nursery, 4+ for KG, 5+ for Preparatory, and 6+ for Class 1 by March 31, 2025, as per guidelines.
Following the correct age helps children start school at the right stage, making learning smoother and more effective.
Parents need to submit a birth certificate, Aadhaar card, school records (if any), and photos during the admission process.
